Menopause personal training in Attleborough
Personal training through perimenopause and menopause.
Build strength, feel more confident in your training and keep doing the things you enjoy.
Whether you’re already lifting weights, returning after a break or wondering where to start, I offer menopause personal training in Attleborough, with individual coaching that takes your goals, experience and how you’re feeling into account.

Your goals. Your starting point.
Training that
works with you.
Perhaps you’re putting in the same effort but finding your usual sessions harder to recover from. Maybe your sleep has changed, your energy is less predictable or you’re unsure how to make progress.
You might also feel well and simply want to build strength for the years ahead.
We’ll start by understanding what you want from training and what’s happening now. From there, I’ll plan sessions with an appropriate level of challenge, help you develop your technique and adjust things as we learn what works for you.
Strength for everyday life and beyond
Get stronger for
the years ahead.
Building strength can mean lifting a heavier weight. It can also mean carrying the shopping more comfortably, getting up from the floor with confidence or having more to give on a long walk or bike ride.
During and after menopause, maintaining muscle and supporting bone health deserve attention. Resistance training, alongside suitable weight bearing activity, can help support both.

Strength and muscle.
Exercises that challenge your muscles, with weights and movements chosen for your current ability. We’ll develop your technique and gradually increase the challenge as you progress.
Balance and stability.
Practising controlled movements and developing the strength and coordination that help you feel steadier and more confident.
Moving comfortably and confidently.
Working on the movements you want to improve, with exercise choices and ranges of movement adapted to you.
Your goals might be everyday tasks, bigger adventures or getting more from the training you already enjoy. They’ll guide what we do together.
New to strength training? You’re welcome here.
Start
where you are.
You might be in your 50s, 60s or beyond and thinking about strength training for the first time. Perhaps you want everyday tasks to feel easier, to feel steadier on your feet or to keep enjoying an active, independent life.
You’re welcome here. You don’t need a history of exercise, experience with weights or a particular level of fitness.
We’ll begin with what you can comfortably do now. I’ll explain the exercises, help you practise them and build up the challenge at a pace that suits you. There’s time to ask questions, get familiar with the equipment and find your confidence.
Your starting point gives us somewhere to build from.

A little about me
Personal experience,
individual coaching.
I entered perimenopause in my late thirties. Understanding why my usual approach to training and nutrition no longer seemed to be working in the same way has been a long learning process.
That experience has helped shape the direction I want to take my coaching. I know how frustrating it can feel when you’re making an effort and getting a different response from the one you expected.
Your experience will be your own. I’ll take the time to listen, ask questions and understand how you’re getting on, rather than assume that what works for me will work for you.

How we’ll work together
A clear plan,
with room to adapt.
Every session is planned in advance, taking your goals and previous sessions into account.
While we train, I’ll watch your movement and technique, explain the exercises and help you find the right level of challenge. If you’re ready to increase the weight, we can. If you’ve slept badly or an exercise needs adapting, we can adjust the session.
I keep notes to guide what comes next, so there’s a clear direction to your training as well as flexibility along the way.
You should understand what you’re doing, why we’ve chosen it and how it relates to what you want to achieve.
Eat More Plants
Support with
nutrition, too.
How you eat, train and recover are connected. If you’d also like help with your diet, I offer nutrition coaching through my separate practice, Eat More Plants.
We can look at practical ways to improve your eating habits, fuel your activity and support recovery, taking your preferences and routine into account.
You can work with me on training, nutrition or both. Nutrition coaching is booked and paid for separately from personal training.

Questions before you book
A few questions
before you start.
Do I need experience with weights?
No. I’ll explain and demonstrate the exercises, help you practise them and choose a suitable starting point. You don’t need to get fitter before booking.
Can you help if I already train regularly?
Yes. We can work on your technique, give your sessions more structure and look at how to progress while taking your current recovery and circumstances into account.
Will I have to lift heavy weights?
You’ll work with a level of resistance that’s appropriate for you. As your strength and confidence develop, we can increase the challenge. You won’t be expected to arrive knowing how to lift a barbell or use particular equipment.
Can I train with you after menopause?
Yes. My interest includes helping women through perimenopause, menopause and the years afterwards. Your training will be guided by your goals and current ability.
What if I have osteoporosis, an injury or another health condition?
Please let me know before booking so we can discuss your circumstances. Depending on the condition, you may need advice or clearance from your healthcare professional before we begin, or support from someone with more specialist expertise.
Personal training can support your health and fitness, but it doesn’t replace medical assessment or treatment.
How often should I train with you?
Most people train with me once or twice a week. We can discuss what fits your goals, availability and any other activity you enjoy.
Is nutrition coaching included in the session price?
No. Personal training is £35 for our hour together, with preparation beforehand. Nutrition coaching is a separate service through Eat More Plants.

Let’s talk about

Whether you want to build muscle, feel steadier, return to lifting or keep enjoying your favourite activities, I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
